Walsall Plumber Crowned Best in UK at 2025 On The Tools Awards

The On The Tools Awards 2025 brought together the very best of the UK’s trade community for a night of celebration, recognition, and connection – honouring the skilled professionals and unsung heroes who keep Britain building.

Held in front of over 450 industry leaders, sponsors, and tradespeople, the awards marked the biggest night of the year for the construction industry, showcasing excellence, craftsmanship, and community spirit across all trades.

Among the winners was Walsall-based Luke Stanyer, winner of Heating Installer of the Year, sponsored by City Plumbing.

Tradespeople from Birmingham and the West Midlands dominated the winners’ lineup, including: Birmingham-based Ash Mahoney, winner of Bricklayer of the Year sponsored by CT1 and Tradesperson of the Year sponsored by Jewson; Birmingham-based Sianna Borland, winner of Apprentice of the Year sponsored by CT1; Sutton Coldfield-based Patrick Quinn, winner of Groundworker of the Year sponsored by JCB; Coventry-based Chris Lowe, winner of Carpenter of the Year sponsored by TradeKart; Warwick-based Mark Tiff, winner of Bathroom fitter of the Year sponsored by Tracer; Bromsgrove-based Joe Baker, winner of The Lost City Fundraiser of the Year sponsored by On The Tools; and Stourport-based Russell Payne, winner of Painter and Decorator of the Year sponsored by Crown.

Each winner received a coveted Barry Head trophy and £1,000 in prize money, courtesy of the generous sponsors.
