Sean Taylor is coming to the Black Country! This multi-talented blues troubadour will perform at St John’s Church, Walsall Wood, on Friday, May 1.

Acknowledged by his peers and music journalists alike, as a ‘thoughtful and emotionally honest artist’, Sean’s music has garnered praise for getting ‘better and better’. And he has just been nominated for a national UK Blues Awards in the Acoustic Act of the Year category.

His latest album, ‘First Light’, released this February, has already received 4star reviews from both MOJO, one of the biggest music magazines around, and Radio 2.

He describes his new album as “eleven songs that capture how I see the world in 2025.

“I believe in the hope of love and the goodness of people.”

Sean has previously been nominated for the 2023 and 2024 UK blues acoustic artist of the year award. His songs are best described as roots; influenced by blues, Americana, jazz, spoken word and folk music.

The St John’s concert takes place on Friday May 1 and is part of Sean’s extensive European Tour. Joining him on stage will be the superb double bassist Mike Seal.

The show starts at 8pm, with doors open at 7.15.
